IPL TAC Preview: Quantic Gaming vs. Evil Geniuses

                          quantic VS      EG

Quantic looks to find its grove next week against a very daunting Team Evil Geniuses. Quantic’s recent slump is not for lack of ability. The American team took IPL TAC #1 runner up, MouseSports, to the wire in a heartbreaking 5-4 series. However, when it’s all said and done, a close loss will not cut it for Quantic as it's facing elimination.

The recently acquired Korean Terran, Apocalypse, may be what’s needed to turn the team around. He’s been nothing but impressive since his debut with Quantic Gaming. When asked about the upcoming match he had this to say:

“I feel excited; especially because I’m getting this opportunity even though I’m not a well-known player. I play EG players on the ladder a lot. Although no one can predict who will win, I’m going to do my best to deliver an exciting performance.”

Another player likely to participate is Quantic’s own Destiny. Although the American Zerg isn’t generally mentioned as one of Quantic’s elite players, it’s difficult to overlook his eye-opening success in last week’s IPL TAC match. Destiny effectively knocked out Protoss giants HasuObs and MaNa before losing against MouseSports’ ace player ThorZaIN. Other players that may be seen include NaNiwa, SaSe, Agh, and Theognis. Theognis also had some words about the encroaching bout:

“This is an important match for our tournament lives and I hope I’m given the opportunity to showcase my skill on a huge stage. I believe if we collectively bring our A-game we will be able to win.”

If Quantic Gaming wants a shot at that $20,000 prize, winning is certainly a must. The series will be broadcasted Tuesday, February 7th at 8:00 PM EST and can be seen on the official IGN Pro League stream.
