Quantic Ventures Into Dota 2; Acquires DD

HOUSTON, TEXAS. - February 21st, 2012 - Quantic Gaming, North America's fastest growing professional gaming team, is proud to announce its first venture into the Action-RTS genre with the acquisition of Dota 2 powerhouse Team DD. The team, previously under the SK Gaming flag, are BenQ 'The Clash' champions, and now will look to continue their success under Quantic Gaming.
With Valve backing the latest version of Dota, and the subsequent tournament boom, Dota 2 has become a game many of the elite teams have scrambled to be apart of. After observing the potential of Dota 2, Quantic has thrown their hat into the ring with the DD pick-up.
"Everyone here at Quantic is extremely excited to take this first major step into the Dota world. We feel that Dota 2 is only going to grow larger as a staple game within the eSports scene and we intend on being on the forefront as one of the tip-top teams around the game," Said Quantic's Gaming Director, Brad Carney. "We spent a long time talking to different teams and found that the guys at DD are some of the most driven and experienced players around. We are all very enthusiastic to have DD in our family."
Team DD has proven to be one the world's best teams in a rapidly eSport title. Currently, DD is competing in joinDota's, The Defense; the world's largest online Dota tournament, alongside 23 other world-class teams. By being a part of Quantic, the team will be able to continue their success at events internationally.
